What is your go-to space for writing?

I don’t really have one? Honestly, I will write anywhere, and I frequently change it up, as sameyness can actually make it harder for me to write.

Words of wisdom for those who are just starting out on the path? 

Don’t rush. It can be so tempting to want to be at the end of the road now, but take it one day at a time and enjoy the journey. And there is no one-size-fits all path to take as an author. 

Do you focus on one project at a time or do you have multiple projects going simultaneously?

I have three notebooks that I carry around in just my purse, and there are about ten more that I keep in my backpack. So … I’m a bit of a scatterbrain?

“Your sister was a lot younger than I am,” Petra countered. “As for the prophecy, it’s clearly about the Water Princess and Fire Prince, and you’ll be here to keep an eye on them.”

“But how am I to do that when you’re not here at my side?”

Petra sighed, rolling her eyes to the ceiling. “Reuben, you are perfectly capable on your own—”

Not when I’m worrying about you.

Petra rolled her eyes again. “You are perfectly capable on your own,” she repeated, “you don’t need to worry about me, and I’m going to be back before you can blink.”

Most people share pictures of their heroes, heroines, or adorable secondary characters. But what everyone wants to see is a pic of the villain, amIright? So, without further ado, here’s inspiration for one of Kendra’s dastardly villains.

So, um, as the description implies, there’s a new villain (or couple of villains) running amok for this book, and this was one of the first pics I pinned to get an idea of their look when I was plotting them.
