Add at least 2 pictures or gifs in your post that are related to your favorite things.

Tag eight people at least! (If you don’t know eight blogs to tag, just tag as many as you can.)

Put the eight rules in your blog post!

I own none of the gifs.

Excluding #1 and #2, the below favorite things are in no particular order.

FAVORITE THING #1

The Greatest Sacrifice

” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” – John 3:16-17

God could have let us wallow into infinity in the evil and darkness of our sin, but as the above verse says, He so loved the world. Jesus didn’t have to let Himself be killed in the most grotesque, agonizing way known to mankind in that time period, but He suffered to “give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

FAVORITE THING #2

Family

I’ve been blessed with a wonderful family, both immediate and extended.

FAVORITE THING #3

Books

This might be me when I go to a bookstore or the library. You can never have too many books.

FAVORITE THING #4

Writing

I love writing. I blame it on my mom, who’s only the best author ever. There’s just something exhilarating about watching new worlds come to life.

And for those of you who don’t know, Kermit’s using a typewriter.

FAVORITE THING #5

The Mountains

My town rests on the foothills of some of the most incredible mountains in the U.S. My family spends a good deal of our summer up there. There’s nothing like watching mist rise from the lake on a brisk morning or smelling that pure mountain air.

FAVORITE THING #6

Paper, Pencils, and Pens

I hoard these. Almost an entire shelf in our homeschool cabinet is devoted to my collection.

FAVORITE THING #7

Imagination

Imagination is a wonderful thing. With it books are written. Paint forms art on a canvas. Incredible graphics are designed. Imagination will take you anywhere.

FAVORITE THING #8

Winter

Unlike most, I do not care much for summer. The heat, the mosquitos, the forest fires and smoke do nothing to endear me to this season. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy planting flowers, tending my lilac bush, and going on bike rides and camping trips, but, winter is a much more delightful season. Have you ever seen snow on the mountains? Watched it cover pine trees and gather on the bare branches of deciduous trees? Have you ever built a snowman, had a snowball fight, or belly-flopped in the snow? There’s something new and refreshing and pure about winter.

Now for the tags…I hereby tag Allyson, Jen, Tara, Joy, Amelie, Katja, and anyone else who’d like to participate! If you do, drop a link! I’d love to see some of your favorite things.
